Our Facilities

Prime Seafood has spent years developing close knit relationships with fishing cooperatives abroad. Our partner fishery in Alaska was founded in the 1940's and has grown to be considered the largest, most successful fishermen's cooperative in North America. All products harvested from our fisheries are caught using hook & line methods which ensure fresh products with minimal lactic acid build-up. These methods (trolling and long-lining) catch fish in the open ocean at their peak of quality fish at a time. All our fisherman and buyers follow strict on-board handling guidelines established and enforced by marine fishery expert advisors.

Prime Seafood's HACCP and EU approved fisheries are managed wisely to ensure the long-term sustainability of wild, natural fish stocks and support the economic stability of coastal communities. Alaska-caught products (salmon, sablefish, & halibut) have been recognized to come from fisheries certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Along with the MSC certification, our Alaskan fishery is a Kosher certified seafood plant providing you with certified seafood products that include sablefish, halibut, king and coho salmon.
