Prime Seafood, established in 2004, is a wholesale distributor providing top quality fish, shellfish, and other specialty products from properly managed sustainable fisheries to chefs working in exclusive restaurants and resorts. Starting in Washington DC, Prime Seafood has developed a strong list of reputable clients that have been the foundation of growth over the past several years. Generally, products are bought directly from the local fishermen that spend each day of their lives living in these sustainable environments. Under the tutelage of globally renowned marine biologists, fishermen are taught how to properly maintain the fishery's sustainability while producing the highest quality products that come out of the ocean today.

Fish and other fresh seafood products are caught and flown in overnight assuring customers that the seafood served to their clients is freshest products available in the marketplace. In contrast to supermarkets and wholesale seafood purveyors who usually know nothing about the fish they sell or its fishery, Prime Seafood was founded by a fisheries biologist with over 35 years of national and international conservation and management experience. His global connections and unique insight provides clients with a rich, educational experience that is enjoyed by the chef's and restaurant customers. Joined by an experienced management team with a combined 15 years experience in hospitality management, business development, and logistics, Prime Seafood ensures top quality products with exceptional service.

As conservationists and social entrepreneurs, Prime Seafood will supply seafood only from properly managed, robust populations while educating consumers globally on the importance of sustainability. Unlike our competition, we do not trade in seafood being driven to extinction. (such as "Chilean sea bass," Atlantic halibut, orange roughy, marlin, mako sharks, bluefin tuna, or snapper and grouper from the Gulf of Mexico or Southeast Coast) Many people in our country do not know that just one meal a month of inexpensive, "farm-raised" salmon sold in many United States restaurants and supermarkets poses an "unacceptably high risk" of causing cancer? This is the primary conclusion of recent scientific studies. For the details see our website: www.primeseafood.com

Our goal is to provide our clients with the freshest products and help conserve global oceanic environments. By utilizing educational content developed by non-profit oceanic education organizations, clients have the opportunity to provide the restaurant customer with an educational experience that leaves them feeling satisfied and helps promote word-of-mouth marketing for the restaurant.
